Shaikh Nasser attends Dubai International Endurance Championship

Dubai, Nov. 26 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai during Dubai International Endurance City Ride. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Dubai HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum crowned Bahraini Riders Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and Raed Mahmood among the champions of the competition, in addition to a number of UAE’s finest riders who participated in the event. The first place went to Emirati rider Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum who completed the race in 01:37:55 with the speed of 24 Km, while the second and third places went to fellow Emirati riders Abdulla Al Murri and Saif Al Mazroo’ee, who finished in 01:37:18 and 01:39:02 respectively. Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa finished in 01:41:12 time, but his team partner Raed Mahmood was eliminated from the third stage of the race. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the success of the competition. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa also commended on the high technical levels shown by the participants in the race and praised the members of the orgainising committee for bringing out such a successful event. He highlighted the importance of the participation of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team in key regional and international competition, adding that Dubai International Endurance City Ride is one of the most prominent endurance competitions in the region.
