Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad honours Crown Prince Cup winners

Manama, Mar28(BNA) His Majesty the King's Charity and Youth Affairs Representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa patronised on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Crown Prince Endurance Race Cup, where he crowned the winners. The event included a main race which covered a distance of 120 kilometres for Adults and Juniors, held yesterday at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad crowned Khulood Al Khouri from Al Zaeem Stables as the winner of the Adults category, completing the race in a total time of 4:18:45 hours. She was followed by Fahad Hilal Al Khatri from Victorious Stables who came second, completing the race in a total time of 4:19:25 hours, while Victorious Stables rider Jaffar Merza came third after completing the race in a total time of 4:25:27 hours. In the Juniors category, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad crowned Yousif Fuad Johar from Al Khaldiya Stables, who completed the race in a total time of 4:55:43 hours. He was followed by Al Asayel Stables rider Ahmed Adel, who completed the race in a total time of 5:04:03 hours, while third place was claimed by Dana Al Dossary from Al Zaeem Stables, who completed the race in a total time of 5:06:05 hours. On this occasion, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad expressed his thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his support to endurance sport in Bahrain, which has contributed to the heroes of many outstanding achievements at various levels, stressing that his patronage led the race to an exciting and challenging ride from the start until the finish line. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised the great success of the Crown Prince race for a distance of 120km, stressing that this success came to the great participation and good results achieved by all the riders after a great technical performance presented by the riders of the stables. He expressed optimism in the bright future for the next races at local level in Bahrain, after excellent results achieved, stressing that the Royal Team is always trying to discover talent and to develop their skills in order to support the ranks of the stable. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad congratulated the winners of the race, and expressed appreciation for the efforts of all the working members of the event, emphasising the prominent role for them in the success of the race. For his part, BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa thanked His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, referring to his support as a big motivation to BREEF in order to highlight the race in a bright image. He praised the role of follow-up and support by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for all stages of the race, stressing that this support has a great impact in encouraging riders and raise degrees of enthusiasm and seriousness they had, which is reflected in its impact on the performance in the race. He praised the efforts made by all the committees which certainly helped to the success of all events held in the International village. The results of the race: The first stage: Maha Khaled from Morocco came first in the first stage, where she crossed the finish line in a total time of 1:29:12 hours. She was followed by Fahd Al Khatri who completed the stage in a total time of 1:29:15 hours, while Shaikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa came third after completing the course in a total time of 1:29:36 hours. The second stage: Jaffar Merza was first after completing the stage in a total time of 1:07:37 hours, and Fahad Al Khatri came second finishing the stage in a total time of 1:08:41 hours, while Maha Khaled was third completing the stage in a total time of 1:08:41 hours. The third stage: Maha Khaled once again came first in the third stage after crossing the finish line in a total time of 1:05:58 hours, and she was followed by Fahad Al Khatri who completed the course in a total time of 1:06:13 hours, while Khulood Al Khouri was third after completing the stage in a total time of 1:07:46 hours. The fourth stage: Khulood Al Khouri came first after completing the stage in a total time of 33:03 minutes, and she was followed by Fahad Hilal Al Khatri who completed the course in a total time of 35:28 minutes, while Jaffar Merza was third after completing the stage in a total time of 37:10 minutes. .
