Shaikh Nasser congratulated on Windsor victory

Manama, May 16 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham Al-Jowdar has congratulated HM the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Captain HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for clinching the first place and leading the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team to win the first three places in the endurance race of the 73rd Royal Windsor Horse Show, held in the United Kingdom yesterday. The exploit proves anew the Kingdom’s leading status in the field of endurance races at the international level, the minister said. He affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s attendance of the race reflects his keenness on encouraging Bahraini riders at all sports gatherings, noting that the Royal support has motivated Shaikh Nasser to attain such a landmark achievement. The minister stressed that such a victory is a source of pride for Bahrain and its team dominated the first three positions and raised the kingdom’s banners in such a prestigious European sports event. He added that Shaikh Nasser’s milestone exploit would inspire Bahraini youth to exert more efforts to honour the kingdom at all international gatherings.
