Shaikh Nasser congratulates ASPU president

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): HM the King's Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and the Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has congratulated the Chairman of the Sports Media Committee at the Bahrain Journalists Association Mohammed Qassim for being elected President of the Asian Sports Press Union (ASPU) and Vice-President of the Association Internationale de la Press Sportive (AIPS). Shaikh Nasser asserted that Mohammed Qassim's election to the top posts is the fruitful outcome of the leadership's support for the media movement in the kingdom, and continuous encouragement of Bahraini media competencies to seek top high posts in various agencies and organisations. The success of Bahrain in leading ASPU affirms the confidence of the Asian sports press community in the ability of Bahrainis in holding top administrative positions, Shaikh Nasser said. It also crowns Mohammed Qassim's efforts to develop the work of the Sports Media Committee and enhance its cooperation with ASPU.
