Shaikh Nasser hails Endurance Team's success in Beaugres Race

Manama, May 29 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and the Bahrain Endurance Team Captain hailed the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team's triumph at the Beaugres Endurance Race in France, pointing out that the team met all the goals set prior to their participation in the event, including to record more prestigious establishments under the Kingdom of Bahrain's name. Bahrain Royal Endurance Team's Jockey, Jaqoub Al Hammadi finished the 120 km-race first, while compatriots Jockey, Raed Mahmood and Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa finished third and fourth respectively. "The team has been greatly benefited from this extraordinary participation, where all the jockies had immense preparations as well as the team spirit was high to achieve top places," HH Shaikh Nasser noted. "Everything went as desired and the team had a great participation in the event as can be seen with the results we achieved. This is a great evidence of the supremacy and the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain," HH Shaikh Nasser added, before further explaining "The Bahrain Royal Endurance Team members were in need of positive results and top places in a bid to get the required morale-boosting ahead of taking part in the up-coming European challenges, where we expect to face stiff competition. And this needs intensive and extensive preparation. Taking part in the Beaugres Endurance Race comes as part of the plans set by the team for the overseas participation, and we hope to continue amassing more positive results." HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the team will continue its preparation and participation in the up-coming races, and the technical staff have put a great plan to ensure the team continues to achieve more top places. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his full confidence on the team to meet the expectations and succeed. "I fully appreciate the team jockies' keenness to take full advantage of this experience, which in return will have a positive impact on their participation in the up-coming events."
