Shock in "Baku Cup 2014": main favourite is defeated

Baku, July 24 (AzerTAc). The fifth day of the tournament started with a surprise. No 1 seed of "Baku Cup 2014", No 29 seed of the world Sorana Cirstea faced Stefanie Voegele from Switzerland. Cirstea who did not justify all expectations towards her was the main reason of her defeat as she made regular mistakes. Voegele who did not make any serious attacks, more benefitted from the errors of her rival. She won both sets 6-1 and defeated her strong opponent 2-0 only within 50 minutes. Stefanie Voegele who moved on to ¼ final thanks to this victory will next face Shahar Peer of Israel.
