Sports Contest for Jonsung Cup Ends

Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- The Sports Contest for Jonsung Cup came to an end in the DPRK on July 27. During the contest, players competed in eight events in Pyongyang, Wonsan and other parts of the country. The Sports Team under the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport won 52 gold medals in separate events like rowing, canoe and yacht races and water skiing, topping the team standings. The April 25 Sports Team proved successful in swimming and diving events, while the Sports Team of the Ministry of Fisheries and the Hwaebul Sports Team in water polo and synchronized swimming events respectively. -0-
