Sports Events Can ImproveTies Between Malaysia And Thailand - Malaysia's Perlis Crown Prince

KANGAR (Perlis, Malaysia), July 30 (Bernama) -- The Crown Prince of the Malaysian state of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said organising sports events involving schools in Perlis and border areas in Thailand should be encouraged as it benefitted both countries. He said, in addition to academic collaboration, sports activities would also be able to further strengthen the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations. "Through this smart partnership, both parties can share their latest skills and technique in coaching and training as well as unearth new talent among students at the school level. "In addition, sports will ensure a healthy, fit and strong body among students and indirectly, create an interest in sports for students," said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin. He said this when officiating the second Football and Sepak Takraw (kick volleyball) Camp for SMK Syed Hassan and Rajcharachanuproh School (Satun, Thailand) here, Friday.
