Sports federations honoured

Manama, May 31 (BNA): The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) today honoured three sports federations for successfully hosting international championships recently. Handball, golf and Maritime sports federations were presented with special awards in appreciation to their efforts in organizing their respective events in 2016. BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar welcomed representatives of the three sports federations and commended their programmes and plans, resulting in the recent successes and achievements. Askar conveyed gratitude of personal representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the federations and his best wishes for them in the future. Present were Bahrain Maritime Sports Association president Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Bahrain Handball Association president Ali Isa Isaaqi and Bahrain Golf Federation vice-president Ali Al Nuaimi.
