Sports Ministry Caretaker Officially Starts Work

Tehran, Aug 18, IRNA – Caretaker of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Reza Salehi Amiri officially started his work Sunday morning. President Hassan Rohani on Saturday appointed Salehi Amiri as caretaker of the ministry after his nominee for the post failed to receive vote of confidence from Majlis (Parliament). On Thursday evening members of Parliament gave votes of confidence to 15 proposed ministers while rejecting three. The three proposed ministers who failed to receive votes of confidence were nominees for the post of minister of science, research and technology, minister of youth affairs and sports and education minister./end
