Squash Player Abdullah Al Tamimi To Carry Qatari Flag in ASIAD 2018

Jakarta, August 17 (QNA) - Squash star and Aspire Academy Graduate Abdullah Al Tamimi has been selected to carry the Flag of the State of Qatar in the opening ceremony of the 18th Asian Games (ASIAD-2018) slated for Saturday in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. The State of Qatar is represented in the event by 222 athletes, including 29 female athletes, Chairman of the Olympic Committee HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani heads Qatari delegation. "I am very excited to carry my country's flag to the forefront of the Qatari delegation at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games," said Abdullah Al Tamimi. In 2012, squash player Abdulla Al Tamimi topped the world U-19 ranking of the International Squash Federation.
