Standardised needs urged

Manama, July 11 (BNA): National Sports Federations were urged to submit its requirement that match international standards in order to ensure proper host of their respective sports competitions. This was announced at the meeting of representatives of the federations and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC). Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general and (BOC) secretary general Abdulrahman Askar, who chaired the meeting, emphasised the keenness of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC  President, to provide best environment to organise regional and international sporting events. Director of Projects at BOC Lounes Madene made presentation on what is required of the federations to present about the available specifications of their current sports facilities, and whether they life to the standards and conditions that conform to international standards, or whether they need to improve in line with international standards.
