Team Melli goes to S. Africa training camp with just 11 players

TEHRAN,Apr.17(MNA) — Due to AFC Champions League matches Team Melli went to South Africa training camp with just 11 players on Tuesday morning. Esteghlal and Sepahan didn’t allow their invited Team Melli players to join the rest of the squad and as a result Carlos Queiroz released Foolad and Tractor players back to their clubs to play in AFC Champions League. So, the eleven players, who went to South Africa, are those selected from Persepolis, Naft Tehran, and Zob Ahan, while the players from the four representatives in AFC Champions League are planned to join them after their matches in the tournament. Iran will play Mozambique in its training camp in South Africa. The Asian heavyweight has been drawn along with giant Argentina, Nigeria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group F of the 2014 World Cup and will first play Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba.
