Thai athletes win eight medals for nation at 2012 London Paralympics

BANGKOK, September 10 (TNA) - Thai athletes have won four golds, two silvers and two bronzes for the nation, totally eight medals, ranked 31st at the 2012 London Paralympics, which concluded on Sunday. Thailand sent a squad of 50 disabled athletes, 39 men and 11 women, to compete at the 14th Paralympics in London, out of a total of some 4,200 disabled athletes from 165 nations across the world, and first targeted for only two golds. The Thai Paralympic team is scheduled to return home tomorrow and will then join a reception hosted by the government in the evening of the same day.(TNA)
