Thai team clinches 1st gold medal from Taekwondo Poomsae

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 (TNA) - Thailand’s mixed doubles captured the first gold medal in Taekwondo Poomsae category competition in the Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia. Five gold medals will be competed on Sunday, the first day of taekwondo competition. Pongporn Suwitthayarak and Oravee Srisahakij did not disappoint Thai fans as they scored 8.34 points and able to clinch the first gold medal for Thai taekwondo team. The Malaysian team came second with silver after scoring 8.18 points while the Vietnamese team finished third. Thai women’s team also received a silver medal in the same competition. The Taekwondo Association of Thailand has set the target to receive three golds from the Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games. (TNA)
