Tokyo 2020 announces Olympic Competition Schedule

Bishkek, Jan.8, 2020. /Kabar/. Five Kyrgyz sportsmen have won licenses for 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, competition schedule is published on the website of the competition. The opening ceremony of the long-awaited sports event is scheduled for July 24, and the athletes will gather at the Olympic Stadium. Kyrgyzstan will be represented at the Olympics by athletes in swimming, athletics, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling. Swimmer Denis Petrashov will compete in two distances: On July 25 at 19:00 (16:00 Bishkek time) - 100 meters breaststroke; On July 28 at 10:30 (07:30 Bishkek time) - 200 meters in breaststroke. Athletics Darya Maslova and Yulia Andreeva will compete in marathon on Aug.8 at 07:00 (04:00 Bishkek time). Greco-Roman wrestler Atabek Azizbekov will participate in bouts of the 1/8 finals in the weight category up to 87 kg on Aug. 4 at 11:00 (08:00 Bishkek time). World champion in women's wrestling Aisuluu Tynybekova- on Aug.4 in bouts of the 1/8 finals in the category up to 62 kg. The 2020 Summer Olympics officially known as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020 in Tokyo, Japan, with preliminary events in some sports beginning on 22 July.
