Trio Convoy 1,500KM For National Squad Harimau Malaya

From Mazani Chan Yat Sin BANGKOK, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Three superbikers were willing to ride their high-powered machines for more than 1,500 kilometres just to show their support for the Harimau Malaya (national squad) who will be meeting Thailand in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 final first leg at the Rajamangala Stadium here Wednesday. Azman Abu Hassan (right), 48, who is leading the convoy with the other riders being his nephews, Mohd Amiruddin and Mohd Azharuddin Mahmud, started their 1,519km journey from Kuala Lumpur two days ago and arrived here Tuesday. Azman's son Mohd Azli, 15, rode pillion with him. "My gut feeling tells me that Harimau Malaya will be the champions this time. My son was very eager to come and persuaded us to make the journey," Azman told Bernama when met at their hotel here Tuesday. Mohd Amiruddin, 32, meanwhile, said the best reward for them would be Malaysia winning the Cup. The return leg will be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur on Dec 20.
