TS.SUKHBAATAR WINS BRONZE MEDAL IN WYDC

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A master of sports Ts.Sukhbat grabbed a bronze medal at the 2014 World Youth Draughts Championship which ran December 16-23 in Dabki city, Poland. Mongolia was represented by nine players. Mr Sukhbat competed in the junior boys’ division, and achieved this medal, with 12 points (five wins, two draws and two loses). On his final game, he defeated a Russian Sergei Yakovlev. In this division. which ran among 28 players, a Lithuanian Artur Tunkevic won the gold medal, the silver went to a Dutch Martijn Van Ijzendoorn. This year’s events brought together 106 players from 14 countries. As the final results, the national team of Russia won the competition with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals. Mongolia and China grabbed one bronze each.
