Tunisia Proud of Qatar 2022 Achievement, Tunisian Minister Says

Tunis, July 20 (QNA) - Tunisia's Minister of Youth and Sports Maher bin Diaa announced Wednesday Tunisia's support to President of Qatar's Table Tennis Federation Khalil Ahmed Al Muhannadi, in his bid to become President of the International Table Tennis Federation. The elections will take place in May of Next year in Germany's Dusseldorf. The announcement was made by the Tunisian official after a meeting with Al Muhannadi. Diaa said that Qatar has made big leaps in sports in general. He said becoming the first Arab and Islamic country to host the World Cup was a demonstration of that. He added that Arab countries were proud of Qatar's achievement and look forward to it hosting the event in 2022. On the elections in Dusseldorf, Diaa stressed on the importance of having Al Muhannadi represent Arab sports in the elections. He added that winning the elections would also be welcome news by all Arabs. (QNA)
