Two Iranian swimmers to compete in Short Course Worlds

TEHRAN,Dec.10(MNA)--Jamal Chavoshifar and Afshin Askari of Iran will participate in the 11th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from 12 to 16 December. The Iranian swimmers will leave Tehran for Istanbul on Monday. Chavoshifar will take part in the 50m and 100m backstroke events while Askari compete at 50m and 100m breaststroke. The FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) or Short Course Worlds is a five-day competition held every two years, where the world comes to witness record-breaking feats and action-packed races, with swimming stars from all continents. The competition will bring about 800 swimmers together.
