VIP wins Nasser 8 Basketball Tournament

Manama, July 1 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee deputised Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder to award the winners of basketball tournament in the First Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Games and eighth Football Championship (Nasser 8), at Bahrain Basket Association Court in Umm Al Hassam. VIP team was able to win Muharraq by an astonishing 100-82 score, dominating the four quarters of the match. The minister handed over the cup and medals to VIP team members and awarded the runner-ups, best players, assistants and top scorers in the tournament and the refereeing crew. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the winners and wished the rest of the teams a better luck next time. He also praised the organisers for their efforts that resulted in the success of the first edition of the tournament.
