Weightlifter M.Ankhtsetseg wins medals in Junior World Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International master of sports Ankhtsetseg Monkhjantsan collected medals in the 2016 IWF Junior World Championships held from June 23 to July 2 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Competed in the women’s -75 kg division, our 18-year old weightlifter grabbed a silver medal in the snatch (115 kg), a gold medal in the clean and jerk (138 kg), and a silver medal by lifting 253 kg overall. The gold medal for overall results went to Ukrainian athlete Iryna Dekha. M.Ankhtsetseg already was qualified for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics after she won a gold medal in the 2016 Asian Championships held in Uzbekistan.
