World Athletics Championship: US Leads 4X400M Relay Men Qualifiers

Doha, October 06 (QNA) - The US men's team topped the 4x400m relay qualifiers to advance to the final of the IAAF World Athletics Championship Doha 2019. The US team finished the race in 2:59.89 to seal the first place. Jamaica sprinted the race in 3:00.76 in the second spot followed by Belgium, who finished in 3:00.87. The US team will try to capture the gold medal after losing it in London 2017 to Trinidad and Tobago. The Qatari team ended the race in 3:06.25 and failed to qualify for the final. Speaking to QNA, Mohamed Abbas, leader of the Qatari team, expressed sadness to not able to qualify for the final. He stressed that the Qatari team gained experience from competing with the best teams in the world. (QNA)
