World Athletics Championships: Germany's Mihambo Wins Long Jump Gold

Doha, October 06 (QNA) - Malaika Mihambo of Germany won the world long jump title on Sunday in the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. Mihambo jumped 7.30 meters in the third round to secure the gold medal. Ukraine's Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk won the silver medal with a 6.92m jump, one centimeter ahead of Nigerian bronze medalist Ese Brume. Soviet Galina Chistyakova holds the world record for the women's long jump with a 7.52m jump in June 1988 in Leningrad. (QNA)
