Doha, September 28 (QNA) - Qatari athlete Abubaker Haydar reached Saturday the semi-finals of the 800 meters race for men, in day 2 of the World Athletics Championships that are taking place in Doha. The young Qatari athlete came in second place, finishing the race in 1:46.11 minutes. Canada's Brandon McBride came first after finishing the race in 1:45.96 minutes. Haydar expressed his delight at reaching the semi-final stage, stressing that he will do the best he can to win a medal despite the intensity of the competition. (QNA)
