World Beach Games: Qatar Qualify for Handball Quarterfinals

Doha, October 12 (QNA) - Qatar team qualified for the quarterfinals of the men's handball competition at the World Beach Games Qatar 2019, after beating Uruguay 2/0 (19/18 and 22/18) and Tunisia 2/0 (18/12 and 18/14) today. With these results Qatar secured their spot in the quarterfinal, regardless to the result of their Sunday match against Spain, final match in the groups stage. In other matches, US beat Oman 2/0, Denmark beat Sweden 2/0, Brazil beat Australia 2/0, Croatia beat Tunisia 2/0, Sweden beat US2/0, Denmark beat Brazil 2/0, Australia beat Oman 2/1, Croatia beat Spain 2/1 and Uruguay beat Hungary 2/1. In the women's handball competition, Argentina beat US 2/1, Denmark Beat Hungary 2/1, Brazil beat Tunisia 2/0, China beat Australia 2/0, Spain beat Poland 2/1, Greece beat Vietnam 2/0, Brazil beat Hungary 2/0, Denmark beat US 2/0, Argentina beat Tunisia 2/0, Greece beat Poland 2/1, Spain beat Australia 2/0 and Vietnam beat China 2/0.
