World Beach Games: Qatar's Handball Team Tops its Group, Meets Australia in Quarter-Finals

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - Qatar handball team topped its group in the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games and achieved the full mark after beating his Spanish counterpart 2-0 (17/16 and 20/10). With their fifth consecutive win, the Qatari handball team topped Group B to meet Australia in the quarter-finals tomorrow. The other three games in this round scheduled tomorrow will include Brazil against Croatia, Sweden against Hungary and Denmark against Spain. The Qatari team won the first match against Croatia 2-1, the second match against Hungary 2-1, the third game against Uruguay 2-0 and the fourth game against Tunisia 2-0. With these results, Denmark topped Group A with 10 points, followed by Brazil with 8 points, Sweden third with 6 points, Australia fourth with 4 points, America fifth with two points and Oman last with no points.
