Wrestling team wins cash prize in Kazakhstan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian wrestling team has successfully competed in the 2nd “Eurasia Barysy” Kazakh kures wrestling which was held last weekend in Taraz of Kazakhstan. Dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of a Kazakh legendary wrestler Baluan Sholak, the competition was attended by 12 teams of Asian and European countries. The Mongolian team has a coach O.Bakhyt and Th.Tsagaanbaatar, G.Kherlen, M.Dagvadorj, Kh.Tsogtgerel and B.Sugarjargal. They defeated opponents from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. At the final, our team beat Kazakhstan’s counterpart. For taking the first place, the Mongolians received a USD 50 thousand cash prize. Second and third places went to Kazakhstan and Georgia.
