Young Iranian Judo Champion In Semifinals Of France Championship

Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA – Irans minus 90 kg Judo champion Ramin Safaviyeh, defeated his French competitor in 2013 Miami World Youth Judo Championship to reach the semifinal match of the games. Safaviyeh had earlier defeated his competitors from Egypt and Uzbekistan before competing against Ians Grea from France, whom he beat in a four-minute match to qualify for the games semifinal. In order to reach the final game Safaviyeh has now to win the match against Carlen Palian from Russia. In heavy weight competitions of the games on Sunday Iran's Hossein Arabi admitted defeat in a match against a judo champ from Ukraine and thus left the competitions. The 2013 Miami Cadet World Judo Championship ends Sunday night. The 2013 Cadet World Championships started in style on Thursday as four champions were crowned on the opening day of the competition at the sun-soaked Doral Legends Ballroom in Miami./end
