Youth Azerbaijani boxers make successful start to European Championships

Baku, April 20, AZERTAC Azerbaijani boxers have made a successful start to the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships in Roseto Degli Abruzzi, Italy. Nabi Isgandarov (56kg) beat Hungarian Alex Baki in his opening bout, while Mahammad Yusifov defeated Lithuanian Vilmantas Sirius in the round of 16 in the men’s 75kg weight class. Isgandarov and Yusifov will face French Bilel Gourari and Armenian Rafael Hovannisyan respectively in the next round. Azerbaijan’s squad includes 11 boxers.
