AEOI chief says Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity has more than doubled

Tehran, IRNA – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami said on Saturday that the country’s nuclear enrichment capacity has more than doubled. Eslami made the remarks in a meeting with the members of Majlis (Iranian Parliament) Strategic Fraction. He said that a Strategic Action Plan passed by Majlis in 2020 was an appropriate law for the development of the country’s nuclear industry. Implementation of this law raised Iran’s enrichment up to a level that it has more than doubled that of the total history of the country’s nuclear industry, the official said. He said that the nuclear energy and generation of nuclear electricity has caused a large economic saving for the country and has positively affected the reduction of fossil fuels and removing environmental problems.
