Diplomat Hopes For Tehran-Moscow Agreement On S300 Missile System

Moscow, June 11, IRNA – Iranˈs Ambassador to Russia Reza Sajjadi said on Monday that Tehran hopes to receive S300 missile defense system. ˈTehran and Moscow may hopefully reach agreement on delivery of the S300 missile system,ˈ said Sajjadi in a press conference in Moscow. He said the Iranian government is highly willing to see differences on the issue being patched up through dialogue so that no dark point would remain in Tehran-Moscow relations. Iran has filed a complaint with the International Court of Justice in the Hague against Russia on S300 missile defense system, demanding $4b in damages. Elsewhere in the press conference, Sajjadi commented on prospect of nuclear talks and said nuclear issue is a national demand and there would be no change in Iranˈs policy on the issue. He said, ˈIranˈs stance on nuclear issue is clear. We want to get all the rights enshrined in the NPT. We would not like to be threatened with deadline on the issue. Any government replacing present government will work within the same framework.ˈ/end
