Iran, ILO to develop technical cooperation

Tehran, April 6, IRNA – Iran and International Labor Organization (ILO) agreed to increase cooperation in all fields, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare for International Affairs, Mohammad Taghi Hosseini said on Saturday. Hosseini who headed the Iranian delegation to the 320th session of the governing body of the UN international Labor Organization (March 13-27) noted that ILO Director-General Guy Ryder has welcomed cooperation between The Islamic Republic of Iran and ILO. In a meeting with Hosseini, ILO director-general promised to enhance technical support to Iran. The head of Iranian delegation to 320th session of the ILO governing body noted that bad conditions created for the workers in some littoral states of the Persian Gulf including Qatar and Saudi Arabia were discussed in the meeting. The 320th Session of the ILO Governing Body was held on March 13 to 27 in New York.
