Iran-Oman Urge Further Scientific Co-op

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – Iranian and Omani officials stressed in a meeting the need to promote research and scientific cooperation, it was announced here on Saturday. The meeting was held in the presence of Iran’s Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology Arsalan Qorbani and Secretary General of Oman’s Research Council Hilal bin Ali al-Hinai. During the meeting, Qorbani briefed al-Hinai on Iran’s scientific achievements and said the country has ranked first in the region due to its capabilities in producing science. He further voiced Tehran’s readiness to expand cooperation with Muscat in carrying out joint research projects. For his part, the Omani side termed Iran’s scientific achievements as significant. Al-Hinai called on Iran to help Oman implement various scientific projects, particularly in the fields of petrochemicals and oil./end
