Iranian inventor builds lighter aircraft wings

Tehran, March 21, IRNA – An Iranian inventor has developed simpler, lighter aircraft wings that still maintain the mechanical and dynamic properties of their original version. Kaveh Kolahgar-Azari told Mehr News that currently the wings of aircrafts are made of steel which weighs a lot, but his composite hybrid wing is much lighter and less costly. “The aircraft would weigh less with these composite wings attached and at the same time the wings would maintain their mechanical and dynamic properties on the aircraft,” he said. Noting that the polymer and metallic composite is just as durable as the steel and aluminum one, Kolahgar-Azari maintained that it also has higher mechanical strength than any other construct made of different materials. “It can also be installed on crewed as well as unmanned aircrafts,” he said. According to him, his construct maintains its condition during excess aircraft vibration and will also eliminates the issue of vibration in aircrafts.
