IT INTERNSHIP IN SOUTH KOREA TO OPEN FOR YOUTH

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Youth Development Department (YDD) of Ulaanbaatar has launched a project on providing young people with job training on IT skills, in collaboration with the MKIT education center. Within the project, which is funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), graduates of the education center are linked to leading IT companies of South Korea and sent for job training aiming at establishing an outsourcing system. On September 7-8, an open day for vacancy promotion in IT sector of Mongolia and South Korea will be held at the Hall of the Citizens of the capital and the Youth Development Support Center. “Representatives of some leading IT companies of South Korea and the KOICA Country Office will take part in the open day to select applicants. Those who are skilled in IT will have paid job training in South Korea for three months and the selection companies will be responsible for all expenses," YDD chairman S.Sukh-Ochir said. "In August we sent four students to South Korea, who had successfully completed a course at the MKIT Education Center. We see IT industry as a leading sector of our country in future and we intend to expand number of practitioners, involving 20 this year and 100-150 young people in 2018,” The MKIT education center was established in 2015 and started collaboration with the Youth Development Department in 2017.
