Russian astronaut keen on cooperation with Iran in space science

Isfahan, Dec 16, IRNA – Senior engineer of Russian Energia Space Institute said his institute is ready to sign cooperation contracts with Iran in space sciences. Alexander Alexandrov made the remarks in the 139th session of Isfahan Astronomy Club on Monday. 'In case of construction of small satellites by Iran, we are ready to launch them into orbits by the lowest expenses,' he said. Referring to remarks of the Russian President Putin last month, Alexandrov continued that Iranians would be able to study in all fields in Russian universities and there is no limitation for them. The Russian astronaut also participated in the inauguration ceremony of an exhibition dubbed 'Human and Space' in Tehran on Sunday. Alexandrov is an engineer of space systems, pilot and astronaut, who was born in 1943. He has stayed in space totally for 309 days, 18 hours, 2 minutes and 58 seconds. He received his PhD in Technical Sciences from Moscow University in 1988./end
