Tenth Arab Energy Conference opens in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, December 22, 2014 (WAM): Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Tenth Arab Energy Conference began yesterday at the Viceroy Hotel on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, with events focusing on the theme 'Energy and Arab Cooperation'. The opening of the conference, which will be held from December 21st-23rd under the Chairmanship of Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy, is being attended by oil and energy ministers from Arab countries, OPEC Secretary-General Abdalla S. El-Badri, Abbas Ali Al-Naqi, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, OAPEC, as well as representatives from regional and international organisations specialising in the field of energy, along with representatives and experts from Arab and international companies operating in the oil, gas and energy industry.
