10 Beaches In N. Sembilan Listed Among Best Beaches In Malaysia

SEREMBAN, April 27 (Bernama) -- As many as 10 beaches in Negeri Sembilan have been listed among the best out of 152 beaches in the country. These are the Bandar Port Dickson beach, Saujana (Batu 4) beach, Cahaya Negeri (Batu 5) beach, Cahaya Negeri (Batu 6) beach, Cunningham (Batu 7) beach, Telok Kemang beach, Tanjung Biru (Batu 10) beach, Port Dickson beach (TNB power station), Teluk Pelanduk beach and Cermin beach. According to a report by the state government portal, the marine water quality index (IKAM) indicated that the beaches in Negeri Sembilan were clean and safe for public use. Meanwhile, two estuaries in the state, Kuala Sungai Lukut and Kuala Sungai Linggi, were also listed as the best 76 estuaries in Malaysia. Pulau Arang in Port Dickson was also listed as among the best of 90 islands in the country. According to IKAM 2016, the status of the marine water quality in three areas were seen as the best with Kuala Sungai Lukut and Kuala Sungai Linggi each attaining readings of 98 and 97. The report also said the automatic marine water monitoring system known as 'JLM Navigation Beacon' was located near Pulau Arang to continuously monitor the marine water quality for public wellbeing.
