2018 ANNOUNCED AS YEAR OF TOURISM

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Mongolian Tourism Association have announced 2018 as the Year of Tourism. The ceremony was held in New-York hall of the Shangri-La Hotel on May 10. During the ceremony, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Mongolian Tourism Association and the Mongolian Culinary Federation established a memorandum of cooperation on ensuring service standards in tourism sector. In the scope of the memorandum, following actions will be realized such as creating ‘Green Eco Tourism’, creating favorable business condition by improving legal environment for organizations operating in tourism sector, renewing quality rating and standards, setting up short and long-term programs and classifying all types of tourism service providers including hotels, tourist camps and guest houses.
