Also the chairman of the state Tourism Committee, Aminuddin said this was an increase from the 85 products from last year. “Some of these products are in the category of sports and recreational tourism, culture and agro-tourism. For instance, in Seremban, we have the X-Park Sendayan; Nabila Agro Farm; ATV Kg JKIN, in Port Dickson there is Dickson Dragon; Wind Mild PD Farm; PD Waterfront, in Jelebu, there is Glamping@Kong Koi and in Tampin, the Tampin Extreme Park. “Each year, the quality of the products are monitored to make sure they are suitable and safe for local and foreign tourists,” he said. Aminuddin was replying to a question from Hairudin Abu Bakar (BN-Bagan Pinang) who wanted to know the state government’s plans to increase the number of the state’s tourism products which were of international standard. He was speaking at the First Meeting of the Second Session of the 14th State Legislative Assembly here Wednesday. Aminuddin also said the state government was working to draw about 4,000 tourists travelling on cruise ships and stop in Port Dickson, to also visit other tourism sites in the state. “Several days ago, I discussed with Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook ways to upgrade the jetty (Port Dickson Ferry Terminal) and he will go with the Marine Department director on it. “We will also be asking all tourism agencies in the state to provide tourism packages for these tourists so that when they stop in Port Dickson, they can move to our other tourism products like Kuala Pilah, Nilai and Seremban as we have various other tourism locations like beaches, eco-tourism and cultural sites. “We want these packages to be immediately prepared and we will offer them to the cruise operators,” he said. Aminuddin was replying to a supplementary question from Tun Hairudin on the measures taken by the state government to ensure that an estimated 4,000 cruise ship travelers stop in Port Dickson to visit the other tourism locations in Negeri Sembilan. — BERNAMA
