AirAsia's KL-Changsha Flights to Start From Oct 2

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 (Bernama) -- AirAsia will introduce a new route connecting Kuala Lumpur to Changsha, China, from Oct 2, 2015. In a statement here today, it said all-in-fares would be from RM88 (US$1=RM4.16) one way. It would be the 10th China destination for AirAsia and booking would be available from today until Sept 6 for the travel period from Oct 2 this year to Aug 31 next year, it said. The airline said it would operate the KL-Changsha and Changsha-KL flights four times a week, each. AirAsia Bhd's Head of Commercial, Spencer Lee, said the airline was committed to grow its presence there and maintain its status quo as the largest international carrier, in terms of capacity, to fly into China. Meanwhile, AirAsia said it would also enhance its connectivity from KL to Chongqing, China with daily flights instead of the current four times weekly flights, where all the additional flights would commence operations on Sept 17 onwards. "The direct flights, all-in-fare, are available for booking from RM179 until Sept 4, with traveling period from Sept 17 until Oct 24," it said. -- BERNAMA
