Berlin-Tehran direct flight to resume soon

Berlin, Jan 17, IRNA – Managing director of Germania Airline announced the company's decision to establish direct flight from German cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf toy Tehran from February 20, 2015. Karsten Balke in an exclusive interview with IRNA correspondent in Berlin, said that considering unprecedented increase of travels to Iran over the past one year due to helpful nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers and subsequent gradual lifting of anti-Iran sanctions, Germania Airline has decided to put direct flights between the two countries on its agenda. He added based on an agreement signed by the two sides, four direct flights from Berlin and Dusseldorf to Tehran and one from Hamburg to Mashad will be done weekly as of February 20. Balke said that direct flights from Berlin to Tehran will be done twice in a week on Sundays and Wednesdays, direct flight from Dusseldorf to Tehran on Mondays and Fridays every week and Hamburg to Mashad will be once in a week on Wednesdays. He put initial ticket price for Berlin-Tehran flight, at 220 Euro, Dusseldorf to Tehran at 230 Euro and Hamburg to Mashad at 250 Euro , but the prices could be subject to changes upon situations. Balke continued that his company decided to use Airbus A-319 and Boeing 737-700 in these routes with the capacity of 150 passengers each.
