French tourist: I wish I could perform Azerbaijani national dances

Shaki, August 13, AZERTAC A French tourist has hailed Azerbaijani folk dances. “I like dancing very much and wish I could perform your national dances,” Gwenn Laine told AZERTAC`s correspondent in Shaki. Gwen, who is based in London, said it was his first visit to Azerbaijan. “We like travelling with my wife a lot and collect information about history, culture and traditions of the countries we visit. Last year, for instance, we travelled to Kyrgyzstan. We like the Turkish cuisine and culture.” “We liked the Khan palace here in Shaki very much. The compositions decorating the palace’s rooms and stained-glass windows charmed us. The local population is very nice and hospitable. The nature and mountains of Shaki are stunning,” he added.
