From Azeman Ariffin JAKARTA, March 13 (Bernama) -- The number of Indonesian tourists visiting Malaysia has been increasing yearly, making the republic now the second largest contributor to Malaysia's tourism industry, said Tourism Malaysia chairman Dr Ng Yen Yen. She said statistics showed that 2.32 million Indonesians visited Malaysia between January and October last year, an increase of 11.9 per cent compared to the 2.07 million during the corresponding period in 2013. She said the increase was boosted by 11 airlines which operated 608 flights a week from major cities in Indonesia to Malaysia. "We are targeting 2.9 million tourist arrivals from Indonesia in conjunction with the Malaysia Year of Festivals (MyFest) 2015 which is under way," she said at an appreciation dinner and launch of MyFest 2015 tour packages here Thursday night. Dr Ng said Singapore still registered the highest number of tourists to Malaysia while China was in third place.
