QNET Shows Continuous Support For Malaysia’s Tourism Industry

By Goh Kok Guan & Kenny Teng Khoon Hock GEORGE TOWN (Penang, Malaysia) April 29 (Bernama) -- Asia’s leading direct selling company, QNET continues to contribute to Malaysia’s tourism industry by hosting its largest annual convention here. Its regional general manager Pushpalatha Balan said among the countries in which the company had held conventions, Penang and Kuala Lumpur have always been one of its favourite venues for larger programmes. On April 23, a five-day convention known as V-Malaysia was held at the Subterranean Penang International Conference & Exhibition Centre (SPICE) Arena for the sixth consecutive year, which was attended by 13,000 entrepreneurs from over 30 countries. It is also the one and only QNET programme in which both the QNET founders were present, namely QI Group of Companies executive chairman Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran and QI Group special advisor Joseph Bismark. “We want to boost tourism in the country, hence, we always come back to this country,” she said during an exclusive interview with Bernama here. She also said that based on feedback, the entrepreneurs unanimously gave positive remarks regarding their stay in Penang. “Although there wasn’t any tourism package included for the entrepreneurs when they came here for the convention, some had already planned to extend their stay here as their vacation,” she added. Meanwhile, QNET head of global public relations Rajesh Rao said the positive remarks were on various aspects including the UNESCO heritage sites, food, infrastructures and facilities, as well as exploration and attractions in Penang. “We haven’t heard any complaints from our delegates during their stay here. To them, it is a perfect destination for a visit,” Rajesh said. Established in 1998, QNET, formerly known as QuestNet, GoldQuest and QI Limited, is a Hong Kong-based multi-level marketing company with business presence across 100 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. -- BERNAMA
