Tailor Suitable Packages To Attract More Venezuelans - Envoy

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia should develop tourism packages which include visits to other parts of Southeast Asia to attract more Venezuelans to come here. According to its ambassador to Malaysia, Manuel Guzman, more Venezuelans would like to visit Malaysia, given the right packages and attractive promotions. Noting the distance from Malaysia and the South American nation, he said the packages should be attractive enough to make it worthwhile to travel such long distances. "Currently, not many Venezuelans visit Malaysia due to the vast distance involved, but if a package consists of visiting Malaysia as well as, say, Thailand, Vietnam and even Singapore, it would attract them," he told Bernama after launching the 'Sounds and Flavours of Venezuela' gastronomic festival here Tuesday night. Guzman believed Venezuelans were keen to visit Malaysia to savour its unique multicultural ambience and a wide array of culinary delights, as well as interesting tourist spots. The one-week festival at the Pavilion shopping mall in the Bukit Bintang tourism belt is aimed at promoting Venezuelan food and highlighting its culture. -- BERNAMA
