The Kazakhstan-Qatar business forum was held in Doha. The exhibition "Made in Qatar-2017" held as part of the forum brought together more than 420 local companies that demonstrated their products. Kazakhstani businessmen have also brought their goods to attract the visitors’ attention. This is a chance to enter the market of Qatar for Kazakh businessmen.

MARAT KARIMOV, BUSINESSMAN:
- The purpose of our visit here is to showcase our goods in the local market. Our company produces apple juices and jams. We expect to conclude contracts for the supply of our products to the local markets and hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation.

Establishment of business contacts in the interests of both parties. Cooperation should be developed in all sectors of the economy, the forum participants believe. First of all, this is related to the export of products of the Kazakh agro-industrial complex to Qatar, as well as trade, commerce and tourism. Measures for tourism development have already been taken. Kazakhstanis can get the Qatar visa at the airport upon arrival in Doha.

- In fact, this is the first business forum in the history of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. At present, the development of business ties is strategically important. Kazakhstan is interested in selling its products in Qatar as it imports the whole range of goods from abroad. Our businessmen will find common ground and launch business cooperation between Kazakhstan and Qatar.

Memorandums on cooperation and on the creation of the Kazakh-Qatar business council have been signed between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.
