All Phases Of SP Joint Field To Become Operational In 2 Years

Ahvaz, Khuzestan Prov., June 12, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister Ahmad Qalebani said on Tuesday that all phases of South Pars joint field will come on stream in the next one or two years. Talking to reporters after a session to conclude contracts for commissioning of a project for development of the second phase of Mansouri oil field and setting up optic fiber network for the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Qalebani, also Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), said that this year, phases 15 and 16 and parts of phases 17 and 18 of South Pars joint field will become operational. He said this year, 100 million cubic meters of gas will be added to the production capacity of the fields. He noted that Yadavaran and Azadegan fields, that started preliminary production last year, will become operational this year. The Iranian official also disclosed that a number of small fields in central regions will start operation west of the country this year. He said more than 85 percent of oil budget will be channeled to joint fields./end
