CBI Official Confirms Reimbursement Of 1st Part Of Iranian Asset Frozen Abroad

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Central Bank of Iran (CBI) official said on Monday that the first part of Iranian frozen asset was reimbursed to the CBI account. He said that dlrs550m of frozen asset was reimbursed to CBI account. He said that the western governments made two-day delay in remittance of the asset due to weekend holidays. Iran has about dlrs100b assets frozen in western banks. The interim nuclear deal obliges western governments to unfreeze the country's assets. Iran and the western governments will initiate negotiations in Vienna from February 18 on a comprehensive agreement according to which they will acknowledge Tehran's nuclear program as civilian. The comprehensive agreement will envisage the western governments to end propaganda against Iranian nuclear program./end
